Emotes are Host entity movements and animations. They’re triggered by the Play Emote action in a State Machine behavior on a Host entity. Once triggered, an Emote overrides gesture and body posture animations while the emote is performed. After the emote is performed, the Host entity returns to gesturing and its standing or talking posture. In this tutorial, we’ll set up a State Machine behavior to have our Host Cristine perform different emotes in response to key presses.
This is the scene we will build in this tutorial. Use the A, S, and D keys to trigger different emotes. For best results, use the latest version of your browser.
